Currently, in this new world of technology, numerous advances in genetics are being made. One of these many issues are GM foods. Many people think that these foods taste better or could help solve world hunger, but the harmful effects of GM foods immeasurably outnumber the beneficial effects. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) are simply ignoring many experiments done on animals, that might have a similar affect in humans, for the sake of money. One of these experiments was when rats were fed GM corn and had problems with blood cell formation. Pigs fed GM corn developed false pregnancy or sterility. In addition to this, cows fed GM corn died. Twice the number of chickens died when fed GM corn rather than natural corn.

Butterfly larvae were also fed GM corn and half of them died. Yet still, there are many more experiments done on animals using GM corn, even more reasons than this showing that GM corn could be fatal, and many, many billions of risks associated with GM foods as a whole. The risks of GM foods mask away the beneficial effects, and when more harm can be done than good, the best thing to do is to prevent the problem all together.
